How many PET foam extrusion lines(including foam welding line) does Armacell have? and Where are they located?

 Armacell is a worldwide composite foam manufacturer based in Belgium, offering high-performance foams for acoustic and lightweight applications, recycled PET products for construction and wind energy.

Armacell now have four PET foam plants around the world.

 

1. 2005- Thimister,Belgium

 Armacell develops green PET foam in Thimister,Belgium, making it the first manufacturer to succeed in foaming high quality recycled bottle grade PET on an industrial scale. This is the first  PET foam extrusion line including PET extrusion, cutting, PET foam welding line, PET Foam slicing, four edges cutting, kitting. The CNC Machining kit to fulfill in the wind turbine rotor blade.

2. 2012-Mebane plant in North Carolina.

USA is  the most important market, in 2012 PET-based core materials was manufactured in  Mebane plant in North Carolina.

3.   2017- Brampton  Canada assemble facility.

In 2015, Armacell acquires the business of Industrial Thermo Polymers (based on brampton), a extruded polyethylene insulation products Canadian manufacturer, start to produce PET foams.  In August 2016, Armacell announced the start of  its PET foam block slicing  operation, and in 2017 spring they bought one set PET foam block welding equipment to start the pet foam welding operation.

4. 2020-Suzhou  China PET line.

Armacell, a manufacturer of engineered foams, announced on May 18 2020, the launch of operations for its PET foam extrusion line at the Suzhou facility in China, which produces foam cores for wind turbine blades. 

Following two years of PET welding and slicing extruded blocks imported from  Thimister plants  and North America, the first extrusion line in China is now up and running(Armacell ordered the new PET foam welding machine in China market.). For Armacell, this is the fourth industrial-scale PET foaming line globally, supporting the company's growth trajectory and profitability in the global PET business.
