Diab and SKAPS Ltd India signed a partnership agreement to produce PET foam core

Diab  (based in Laholm, Sweden) and SKAPS Ltd. India (based in 
Ahmedabad, India) recently signed a partnership agreement to start a polyethylene terephthalate rigid  (PET) foam production line in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The collaboration will back the increasing demand for a core material in India.

SKAPS Ltd is a prominent producer and distributor of Fiberglass fabric and Geosynthetic products for industries with existence in over 60 nations. In May 2018, the SKAPS announced that it had acquired Matrix Composites. This acquisition will support SKAPS Fiberglass Division and strengthen its position in North America and South America.  

In May 2020, SKAPS and Diab Group signed a partnership agreement for PET foam production.

The 6,000-square-meter PET foam production plant will produce Diab’s Divinycell PET range of products, which are said to provide high shear strain and an optimum resin intake. The material has been developed to meet blade designs with the aim of reducing the cost of wind blade manufacturing.
